Sitting for 8 hours a day increases the risk of fatty liver by 44%!

Prolonged sitting is an invisible contributor to fatty liver! Research has found that people who sit for more than 8 hours a day have a 44% increased risk of developing fatty liver. This is because prolonged sitting significantly reduces the activity of lipoprotein lipase, making it difficult for fats in the blood to be broken down and metabolized, ultimately accumulating in the liver. What's even more concerning is that the damage caused by this "chair disease" is difficult to completely offset even with exercise afterward. It is recommended to get up and move around for 3-5 minutes every hour of sitting. Simple stretches or brisk walking can activate metabolism.
