Chewing Raw White Radish = Natural Throat Lozenge
Share
Chewing raw white radish can relieve throat discomfort and is known as a "natural throat lozenge." White radish is rich in glucosinolates and vitamin C. The spicy components released during chewing can stimulate saliva secretion, relieving dry and itchy throats. Its natural anti-inflammatory substances can also inhibit swelling of the throat mucous membrane. However, caution should be exercised by patients with gastric ulcers, as its spicy components may irritate the gastric mucosa.
